Last year was an eventful year at Stoltgården.
Before 2023, Mora Municipality had terminated the agreement on common areas, which resulted in a loss of revenue of 1 million SEK/year. A long negotiation process eventually led to a new, significantly lower lease agreement with the municipality for the Winter Garden.
When the new board took office, there were rumors that the municipality would move Home Services from Stoltgården to a central location in Mora. Thankfully, that didn't happen.
Instead, the Home Service has moved into new renovated premises (changing room/shower/WC, kitchenette and social areas) where the old hobby room was located. Management and staff are very satisfied. The Home Service's former apartment can now be rented out.
On the roof of Stoltgården is now Mora Municipality's largest solar cell installation to date. An investment of just over SEK 1 million for the Housing Association, where we are already seeing significant savings in electricity costs. All fluorescent tubes have also been replaced with LED ones to save electricity.
Another major investment is wireless internet throughout the property as a service for the residents. Code locks have also been installed for security. During this year, we will, among other things, review the audio and video system in the Winter Garden.
Unfortunately, we had to close Mat & Café. The lunch market is too small. Inflation and the pandemic have reduced demand and it is not sustainable to keep the kitchen. We have signed an agreement with the Wibe restaurant, which delivers hot lunch boxes every weekday to the residents.
As you can see, there has been a lot of focus on finances. But we didn't forget about well-being activities. Sollerö Pensioners' Association is very active and has started to host its activities at Stoltgården. SoPF will continue in 2024. We will publish the activity program so you can see what is happening and when it is happening. www.solleron.se/stoltgarden
It is very gratifying that associations, the church, the municipality and individuals take the initiative and want to organize activities at Stoltgården. However, it happens that the activities clash with each other. On one occasion, there were three activities at the same time!
In other words, the activities need to be coordinated so that they are spread out and benefit as many people as possible. We on the board will take on that coordination role from now on.
If you would like to arrange something at Stoltgården, you are welcome to contact the Brf Soldi board about the matter.
