“For many years I have been thinking about doing something to tell more about my forest,” says Roine Andersson in Bölkitt on Sollerön.
"I have lived with my forest my whole life. When I was young, I would go out into the forest with my father Nils sometimes. My interest in forests was founded then. Over time, I took more and more responsibility for our forest. I have taken many courses and learned a lot about forestry. It is awesome to see the results that appear so quickly after my work. Especially the clearings.
For me, it's not about the forest being a resource that should provide maximum economic return. The forest is a source of great joy. It's a privilege to take care of it during my time and be a link in the chain of users. The forest is an oasis for all of us where we can relax and recharge our batteries and enjoy the flora and fauna. A big lung for us and very important for the cycle in nature.”
Roine continues. “When Mellanskog came up with an “Information Package” for the forest, it clicked right away. I’m going to do that, then the forest will become more personal for all of us,” says Roine.
After formulating and submitting the order, the information signs arrived and I was able to put them up on my part of the electric light track (the straight stretch and the hill down towards the lake).
"I feel a great responsibility towards nature and this place that is used by so many people. I am also proud to deliver climate-friendly products. The interaction with nature is important to me," concludes Roine, who welcomes everyone to his forest in the electric light trail on Sollerön.
“A good combination of a forest walk and knowledge.”
