What's happening at Stoltgården?

Will Stoltgården get a new roof or what is going on?

If we stand on Budgatu outside Stoltgården, everything is calm and peaceful, but if we step into the lawn in the inner courtyard, there is full activity. Several builders are taking down bricks, removing roof battens and putting a tarpaulin on the board on which the bricks rest. Then new battens are nailed and the bricks are put back in place. This work is expected to be completed in week 17 (last week of April) and then the next step awaits when the bricks will be washed and treated with a protective layer that makes them stronger. Then the roof is ready for solar energy!

The work of installing solar panels will begin in the first weeks of May. There are 246 panels to be installed, making Stoltgården one of the largest solar energy facilities in Mora municipality.

"It is Solfamiljen from Borlänge – a local Dala company – that is being hired for the solar panels. The actual roofing work is being carried out by local craftsmen and the Taklandslaget," says Gunnar Israelsson, chairman of Brf Soldi, which owns the property.

“Today, there is direct electricity in Stoltgården, our electricity contract expires in December and then electricity costs will rise significantly. Through this investment, we will reduce electricity costs, which is necessary,” Gunnar continues. “This is the first major investment, SEK 1.6 million, that we are making. We are also looking at a new heating system and making renovations in the property so that we increase the number of apartments.

"Mora Municipality's home care service will have a new home in Stoltgården and we will then have an apartment available for rent. The demand for secure housing at Stoltgården is high, which is very pleasing," concludes Gunnar.

We can see that there is a lot of sun at Stoltgården.
