New choir director on Sollerön

Sigge Runbäck is the new leader of the Sollerö Choir and Stöttepelarna.

“I have been leading the Oxberg Choir since last fall and therefore received an offer from Mora parish to also get involved on Sollerön,” says Sigge.
"Earlier in my musical life, I was a cantor in Rättvik for 25 years and in Mora for 5 years."

Sigge was born with a love of music, having grown up in a cantor's home in northern Bohuslän. "I play the organ and enjoy classical church music," Sigge continues. "If I had to choose a favorite piece of music, it would probably be the conductor and composer Anders Öhrwall's interpretations of Bach. They gave new life to Bach," says Sigge.
"It feels good to get back to business after the pandemic. The choir's performances will mostly be in church, while Stöttepelarna will sing and spread joy at the nursing homes that are now reopening."

On Sunday, April 3, there will be a “new premiere” in Sollerö Church at 11:00 AM and in Mora Church at 3:00 PM together with the Oxberg Choir. Then we look forward to the big day of the church year – Easter Sunday – when everyone is welcome to listen to the Sollerö Choir again.

Anyone with driving experience is welcome to take the test. Please call me at 070 – 3370827.

Especially basses and tenors,” concludes Sigge.
