From January 8, residents at Stoltgården can pre-order hot lunch boxes, every weekday, from the Wibe restaurant. The lunch market has decreased drastically in recent years due to the pandemic and inflation. It is no longer financially viable to run a kitchen at Stoltgården. The kitchen therefore closed on New Year's Eve.
AB Morastrand has previously closed the kitchens at the other sheltered housing units in Mora municipality, Hanslinden, Noretgården and Spanskbacken. There, residents are free to buy lunch wherever they want. There is no organized solution.
Brf Soldi has presented a solution for the residents of Stoltgården and their relatives. A solution that includes pre-ordering, delivery, receipt, distribution to the residents and invoicing. Collaboration is taking place with the Wibe restaurant. Organized pre-ordering of food boxes is done for the coming week. The Wibe restaurant then delivers hot food boxes every weekday to Stoltgården.
