The Island of the Sun justified the name of the Harvest Festival!

"Vedärkalln" was in his best mood when Sollerön celebrated Harvest Festival.

Visitors, organizers and "foodies" shone as brightly as the sun.

The market stalls wound their way from the Parish House, past the church, to the Rectory and Kopen.

The selection was wide, with locally grown vegetables, homemade jams, stone-baked bread, knitted socks, sweet cheese, apple juice, ketchup, chili, lamb sausages, pastries, crafts, flowers, etc.

Delicious food aromas of crêpes, nachos, spring rolls, pumpkin soup, hot subs, hamburgers, moose goulash, coal buns and grilled sausages spread across the market. Coffee and homemade bread are not to be forgotten. A few goats grazed peacefully in the lush grass outside the rectory and the children enjoyed the horse and carriage rides. You are struck by the enthusiasm and joy that the local food producers have. What energy! What enthusiasts! A big thank you to the organizers and “food enthusiasts!”
