After the grain was threshed, large flocks of jackdaws, pigeons, and finches came to the fields.
Today, a large crowd of people also came to the field at Bråmåbovägen. It was time to harvest the community-grown potatoes and carrots. There are about 20 families who help each other and grow them every year.
“It will be a record harvest this year,” someone was heard saying. About thirty furrows will be harvested and the first one yielded 140 kg! Yes, you can do the math yourself. There should be over 3 tons of potatoes, enough for your own household, seed potatoes and to sell at the upcoming harvest festival.
Three generations are involved in the harvest. They also have time to enjoy their sack of food during a well-deserved break in the harvest, which takes several hours.
But what does it matter when the sun is shining so nicely? A tasty meal will come eventually!
