There was great interest when Koopen held its Annual General Meeting in the Parish Hall. There were absolutely a lot of winners among the approximately 50 people present.
The big winner is Koopen itself, which shows a substantial surplus for 2024. Net sales amounted to just over SEK 32 million, an increase compared to 2023 (SEK 30.5 million) despite the fact that deliveries from the central warehouse have not been successful.
What is particularly interesting is that the result is + SEK 1.3 million compared to minus SEK 795 thousand for 2023.
Christel Asph and the staff have succeeded in the art of both “accelerating and braking”. Keeping costs down and increasing revenue. Well done!
The future is considered bright. The aim is to become even better as a store and Koopen is focusing on three areas:
- Work for good consumer service
- Get involved in the local community
- Sustainability
“We are not the cheapest, but we are not the most expensive among the stores in the municipality either,” says Chairman of the Board Torsten Kjellgren.
“Compared to other smaller consumer associations, we are doing well,” says store manager Christel Asph.
Speaking of winners, the meeting ended with a sandwich cake and bingo where many people won coffee and gift cards.
But the biggest winners are probably the residents of the parish who have a well-stocked store with generous opening hours nearby. Koopen is a meeting place for everyone.
