Classical tones in church

by | Oct 27, 2024 | Current, Concert

Many of the works of the great composers are written for a symphony orchestra consisting of about 70 musicians. Some of the works have been transcribed so that they can also be played by just 10 fingers on a piano.

Warsaw-born concert pianist Marcin Dominik Gluch – who lives in Gothenburg – enchanted listeners with his virtuoso playing. It was rippling, restful and captivating, and provided an opportunity for meditation and contemplation.

There were just over 100 of us who enjoyed the sounds of Brahms, Mozart and Dvorak in the church, which is well known for its pillarless vault that provides such nice acoustics.

Thanks to Odd Fellow, the Church of Sweden and Mora Hotel & Spa who arranged the charity concert for the Children of the World.

Marcin Dominic Gluch gives concerts all over Europe and teaches at various music schools in Poland, Sweden, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, France and England. Now he was in Sollerö Church!

A world artist!
