Sollerö Pensioners' Association organizes and people come.
The National Day celebration is a popular event. Over 100 people were seen in the throng outside Stoltgården. No less than 200 herrings were grilled over an open fire. When the herring ran out (it always does), roast beef and potato salad were available.
The coffee was accompanied by homemade cake with strawberries, sponsored by “Sollerö Jordgubbar.” The music was provided by the fiddlers in “Älvokaffe” and “Inger with friends.”
The music was mixed with lots of laughter from fond reunions. At the end, everyone sang "You old, you free" in unison.
National Day is celebrated every year at Sollerön's retirement home Stoltgården. Traditionally, it is the Sollerö Pensioners' Association that holds the baton.
