Old hockey pitch resurrected on Sollerön!

The renovation of the Sports Park on Sollerön has meant that the hockey rink at the Park has been laid fallow. But now the hockey field in Gesunda will have company!

Good news is that next winter the old hockey field at the Tool Shed on Vibergsvägen will be resurrected!
Who doesn't remember the many elegant goals and tackles from the yellow-black team in the 60s?
“The landowner has decided to cut down trees and then there will once again be room for a rink.

The lighting from the Sports Park can be reused by saving some birch trees and hanging the lamps in them,” says Gunnar Israelsson.
"Skating has become popular. It's the van der Pool effect that makes itself felt," says old downhill fighter Helmer Saar from Sollerön's classic team in the 1960s.
“If the weather permits, we will wash the ice early and expect to open just in time for the first day of Advent,” exclaims an enthusiastic Jompa Häll. “This will be good for Sollerön IF's youth activities, and for everyone who wants and can skate. You won't have to risk falling into the water when you skate on Siljan.

We are negotiating with Mora IK to have a training match here in the days before Christmas.
It could be Leksand who comes here and then we expect a record crowd! The two antagonists will meet on neutral ice!
The referee will of course be Bodarna's own hockey oracle, Stellan Kvärre.
"Radio Siljan has promised to broadcast the match live. This is something to look forward to," concludes a smiling Jompa.
