Today, August 1st, the "Transfer" of looms from the Company House to the Parish House starts.
It is the weaving house Emgart that is moving about 10 – 15 looms and placing them in place in the newly inhabited Flenarnasalen. (they will not be “buffered” back).
“We have enjoyed ourselves very much in the Business House, but it is exciting to change the environment,” says Mai Olofsson. “Emgart moving in means even more life and movement in the Parish House,” says Staffan Bond. “The lamp of the workshop will certainly shine over the looms and weavers.”
Weaving is an old tradition here in the parish. Emgart would like more people to discover what a beautiful and relaxing hobby weaving is. Therefore, a basic course in weaving will probably be arranged later in the autumn.
