There was great interest when Ellevio invited people to an Information Meeting in Lärkasalen about the upcoming electricity network work on Sollerön. Several overhead lines will be replaced with buried cables to strengthen the electricity network, increase capacity and make it more weatherproof. Some overhead lines will remain.
The cables are buried and laid along the roads at a depth of about 50 – 60 centimeters. On vacant land, the depth will be slightly less. Preparation work is currently underway, but excavation is expected to start during the winter. Utanmyra will be the first to be completed and then work will be carried out south on the island. Ellevio is using several subcontractors in the project. Ellevio will provide regular information about the project, which includes Sollerön. Gesunda and Ryssa are in the planning stages.
