Cycling training for children

Sollerön has a strong cycling tradition.

A few years ago, the CK Soldi Cycling Club collaborated with its colleague CK Parr in Mora and arranged cycling training for children. Then the pandemic came and the training was put on hold.

This summer, CK Soldi is back in action. Once a week at 6:00 p.m., children between the ages of 7 and 12 who are interested in cycling gather in front of the church for a training session. Solleröbladet asked one of the initiators, Peter Resar, about the training. “We are three leaders and at most there have been 17 children at the training sessions. They get to train in smaller groups and learn techniques, balance and how to ride downhill, among other things. We run relays and there is a lot of play in the training. We vary the routes,” says Peter. “Everyone can join in regardless of bike model. What is mandatory is a helmet, bike and water bottle.

"The training will continue in the fall," concludes Peter.
