The parish has a very rich flora and fauna. In early summer we were able to report that a beaver was visible in Ryssa. Now the beaver has found a friend who lives in Fjärden. (Because it can't be
be the same beaver right?)
On Lake Siljan and the forest lakes, families of birds can be seen swimming around. The young Great Skuas move forward like little torpedoes with their “propellers” for flippers. It also happens that one of the young gets a “lift” on the female’s back when the force starts to wear off.
Another powerful sight is seeing the buzzards soaring low over the cornfields in search of insects, preferably wasps.
There is much to discover in our Lord's garden.
