The farm celebrated Midsummer with lunch and maypole raising the day before Midsummer Eve.
More than 30 residents and relatives enjoyed Bodil Klasson's delicious potato gratin and moose meatballs. Then Karin Sten – Guldkanten from Mora municipality – came and offered coffee and delicious strawberry shortcake as a finale to the semester's activities.
An apple tree was also planted as a token of appreciation to Gun-Britt Persson for her contributions to the Sollerö Åldringsfond and at Stoltgården.
On the apple tree there is the following text on a sign:
“As a sign of appreciation, this apple tree – Little Red Riding Hood – is planted in Gun-Britt Persson’s honor. May it grow and bear fruit in the future.
Thank you Gun-Britt for your commitment and solid work with Sollerö Åldringsfond and Stoltgården for more than 6 decades.”
The Maypole with the seaweed and wreaths made by Rullpers Ann-Marie Lindgren and Åke Lindgren was erected in record time in the wind.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to a pleasant event.
