The association works to preserve interest in Karl Lärka's life's work as a folklorist and photographer. The association provides information about cultural heritage in a broad sense. This can involve material objects, costumes or buildings, but also stories, songs, folk traditions and social development. During the summer, two storytelling evenings and a culture day with an annual meeting are organized. The association publishes Lärkabladet annually.
